Introduction
Dive into the exciting Backtrack CTF challenge on TryHackMe, where we explore different stages of hacking a system. This blog will guide you through key steps to get root, while my YouTube video [link] walks you through the entire process.

Recon
Starting with Nmap, we identify SSH and a web service. Web enumeration exposes a vulnerable application, leading us to the next step in exploitation.

Exploitation
After identifying a vulnerable web service, I explore potential Local File Inclusion (LFI) vulnerabilities. This technique gives me access to server files, allowing for deeper penetration into the system.

Gaining Access
I successfully exploit a vulnerable service and gain shell access to the machine. Details of the specific vulnerabilities and scripts used to achieve this are fully demonstrated in my video walkthrough.

Privilege Escalation
Through privilege escalation techniques, I pivot to gain root access, utilizing tools like pspy64 and finding misconfigurations.
